PURPOSE. This Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") is brought to you by Mother Roadster Foundation, Inc. (the "Sponsor") and is governed by these rules (the "Official Rules"). The Sponsor is a nonprofit public benefit corporation organized under the laws of the State of Missouri for the community and charitable purpose of celebrating the heritage of the people living in the area and providing the opportunity for community members to join together to support the social welfare and other needs within the community. The Sponsor has received Internal Revenue Service recognition as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. The 2023 Win the Mother Roadster Sweepstakes is designed to raise funds for the charitable and community purposes of Sponsor, including but not limited to benefiting the 2023 primary charitable beneficiary, Shriners Hospitals for Children (“Shriners”). Every year, Shriners transports thousands of families and children to Shriners Hospitals around the country to receive the care that they need. When it comes to pediatric orthopedic care, Shriners Hospitals for Children are the experts, bar none. Their philanthropic effort supports the health care system's 22 facilities across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, treating children up to 18 years of age who have orthopedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries, cleft lip and palate, and more. Their advanced care is provided in a family-centered environment that is focused on maximizing a child’s quality of life, regardless of the families' ability to pay. By purchasing a sweepstakes ticket to win the Mother Roadster you will be helping children across the country receive the quality care that they deserve.
ELIGIBILITY. The Sweepstakes is governed by the laws of the State of Missouri and is void where prohibited or restricted by law. The Sweepstakes is open to legal U.S. residents over the age of eighteen (18) at the time of entry (the "Entrant"). Employees, directors, and officers of the Sponsor and members of their immediate families or households are not eligible to participate.
HOW TO ENTER.
To enter the Sweepstakes, Sponsor must receive an entry (an "Entry") from Entrant during the Promotion Period (defined below). An entry can be submitted in the following ways: 1. Donation to Sponsor through in-person representatives in the community. The following donations shall be eligible for the corresponding tickets representing an Entry in the Sweepstakes:
The Win The Mother Roadster Ticket Stub / Entry must be filled out completely and received by Sponsor c/o Jack Stinson during the Promotion Period. The entries corresponding to the donations made reflect the entries from donations made in a single transaction. Multiple transactions cannot be combined to receive increased entries. To preserve the charitable and community purposes of the Sponsor, avoid conflicts of interest, and ensure honesty and fair dealing by representatives, all representatives with tickets/entries available in the community are accountable for the funds representing the tickets issued and are prohibited from providing entries without a corresponding donation. To obtain an entry without making a donation, please follow the procedures set forth in subparagraph (c) below.

A $2 convenience fee per transaction to cover the processing, postage, and handling will be added to all online transactions. To obtain an entry online, visit our website at www.motherroadster.com, complete the online entry form, and make a donation as set forth below;

FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($500.00) – 40 TICKETS/ENTRY (plus $2 per transaction online convenience fee)
ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000.00) – 100 TICKETS/ENTRY (plus $2 per transaction online convenience fee)
Upon completion of the online transaction, Sponsor will mail physical copies of the tickets to Entrant at the address provided by Entrant.

To obtain an entry without making a donation, you must mail to the Sponsor: (1) a 4” x 6″ index card that contains in legible handwriting your name, address, email address, birth date, and telephone number; and (2) a self-addressed stamped envelope for return of the Ticket/Entry. All Mail-in Entries must be mailed to Mother Roadster Foundation, Inc. c/o Jack Stinson. Mail entries must be handwritten, mailed individually in separate envelopes, and postmarked no later than July 15, 2023. There is no limit to how many times you may enter via mail except that you must include a single self-addressed stamped envelope and handwritten postcard for each entry. Only one ticket/entry will be provided for each mail-in request for entry submitted to the Sponsor. Mail entries that are not in the format specified above, illegible, inaccurate, incomplete, or reproduced via photocopier or otherwise are void and will be discarded. Proof of submission does not constitute proof of receipt. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, mutilated, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, incorrect, inaccurate or postage-due mail or entries.
PRIVACY POLICY. The personal information submitted with your Entry will only be used by Sponsor, in accordance with applicable data protection regulations and the Sponsor's privacy policy, for the purposes of administering your participation in the Sweepstakes. The sponsor may send you communications related to the community and charitable purposes of Sponsor and Events and Sweepstakes offered in the future. You will have the option to unsubscribe from future communications.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY.
By submitting an Entry or accepting a prize, Entrants represent and warrant that all Entries submitted by the Entrant are the original “ticket winnings” of the Entrant, Entrant’s child, or Entrant’s spouse or significant other and have not been copied in whole or in part from any other Entrant’s “ticket winnings”. Any Entry in violation of the foregoing representation and warranty will be disqualified. Entrants assume all risk of lost, late, misdirected, incomplete or illegible submissions. All Entries submitted become the sole property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. By submitting an Entry, Entrants grant Sponsor and its agents permission to publish, and/or otherwise use Entries and Winner photographs for any purpose and in any media whatsoever, without further permission from or compensation to Entrants.
PROMOTION PERIOD. The Sweepstakes commences at 6:00 a.m. Central Standard Time on August 17, 2022, and ends on August 12, 2023 (the "Promotion Period"). PROVIDED, HOWEVER, any entries submitted online or via mail MUST be received by August 11, 2023, and no online or mail-in entries will be accepted after August 11, 2023. From August 11, 2023, to the drawing on August 12, 2023, only in-person entries made at The Birthplace of Route 66 festival (where the drawing will take place) will be accepted. Entries submitted or attempted to be submitted outside of the Promotion Period will be automatically disqualified.
SELECTION OF WINNER. The Winner will be selected during the Springfield Missouri Birthplace of Route 66 Festival on or about August 12, 2023, via a random drawing conducted by judges picked at the sole discretion of Sponsor. The Winner may, but is not required, to be present at the drawing to win. The Winner will be announced at the time of the drawing and will be posted on the Sponsor’s website at www.motherroadster.com. In the event the winner is not present at the time of the drawing, the Sponsor will endeavor to contact the Winner via the information provided with the Entry. The decision of the judge(s) will be final and binding. The Winner must present the winning ticket, valid government-issued identification, and proof of all legally required insurance to Sponsor by December 1, 2023, to claim the prize. In the event of a dispute, all Entries will be deemed to be made by the person named in the associated Entry. The prize must be retrieved by Winner at Mother Roadster Foundation, 1764 E Swallow St Springfield, MO 65804 or designated place by Sponsor. Any prize not claimed by December 1, 2023, shall be deemed unclaimed, abandoned and forfeited and may be sold by Sponsor with the funds placed in the general account of Sponsor for use for the Sponsor’s community and charitable purposes. All federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of the individual Winner. Winners will be required to sign IRS form 5754 and Sponsor will collect Federal Income Tax Withholdings as required by law on prizes with a fair market value over five thousand dollars ($5,000.00). Currently, that rate is twenty-four percent (24%). Winners will be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Release, and Indemnification Agreement, and to retrieve the prize at Winner’s sole cost and expense. In the event of noncompliance with these Rules or any of the conditions set forth herein, the winning prize will be forfeited and no winner will be named.
PRIZES AND ODDS OF WINNING. The Grand Prize is a custom-built Roadster, similar to the Roadster depicted on the website at www.motherroadster.com. The Prize cannot be assigned, transferred, substituted or redeemed for cash or credit, except in the sole discretion of Sponsor. Odds of winning depend on the number of tickets sold during the Promotion Period. In the event that Sponsor does not sell two thousand five hundred (2,500) tickets, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, elect not to award the Grand Prize and instead to convert the Sweepstakes to a 50/50 Sweepstakes. If so converted, the Winner will receive the alternate grand prize of fifty percent (50%) of the ticket sales for the Sweepstakes or $5,000, whichever amount is greater.
GENERAL CONDITIONS. This Sweepstakes shall be governed and construed according to the laws of the States of Missouri, without regard to the principles of conflicts of law, and submission of an Entry constitutes acceptance of such laws. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. This sweepstake is void where prohibited or restricted by law and subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. By entering this Sweepstakes, Entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules, and the decisions of the Sponsor are final and binding in all respects. All taxes (including applicable federal, state and local taxes), fees, costs of delivery/transportation, and surcharges on prizes are the sole responsibility of the Winner. By participating and accepting a prize, so long as there is no legal prohibition, winner agrees to the use of his or her name for advertising or publicity purposes and to the use of statements made by or attributed to him or her relating to Sponsor or this promotion, and releases any and all rights to said use without further compensation.
INDEMNIFICATION & RELEASE OF LIABILITY. By participating in this Sweepstakes, all Entrants agree to release, discharge and hold harmless Sponsor, its officers, directors, agents, employees, affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, all contributors to the Sweepstakes, all contributors to the Grand Prize Mother Roadster and all others associated with the development and execution of the Sweepstakes from any and all liability, claims, losses and damages with respect to or in any way arising from this Sweepstakes and/or acceptance or use of the prizes, including liability for personal injury, death, damages, or loss. ENTRANTS SPECIFICALLY ACKNOWLEDGE THAT SPONSOR, ITS DIRECTORS, AND ITS AGENTS HAVE NEITHER MADE NOR ARE IN ANY MANNER RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY WARRANTY, REPRESENTATION OR GUARANTEE, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, IN FACT, OR IN LAW, RELATIVE TO ANY PRIZE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ITS QUALITY, MECHANICAL CONDITION, OR FITNESS FOR ANY PURPOSE. The Sponsor is not responsible for Entries that are corrupted or otherwise not received correctly or for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of email, failure of mail, or on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site or combination thereof. The Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by web site users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Sweepstakes or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions in the Sweepstakes. The Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, Entries, including lost, late or misdirected Entries. The Sponsor is not responsible for cheating or fraud by any Entrant. Any activities intended to disrupt or interfere with the proper play of the Sweepstakes, or to defraud the Sponsor in any way, may be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Entrants engaging in any of the foregoing activities will be disqualified and any prizes won will be forfeited. If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of proceeding as planned, including without limitation infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for lost, late, illegible, incomplete or postage-due mail.
WINNER’S LIST. The identity of the Winner will be posted on our website at www.motherroadster.com and can also be obtained by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope to Mother Roadster Foundation, Inc. c/o Mother Roadster, 1764 E Swallow St Springfield, MO 65804 by March 1, 2023.
CHOICE OF LAW & JURISDICTION. This sweepstake is governed by the laws of the State of Missouri. By entering, Entrants irrevocably consent to the sole and exclusive jurisdiction of AAA Arbitration in the County of Greene, Missouri for any action, suit or proceeding arising out of or relating to this Sweepstakes.
